The College of New Jersey First Destination Survey

The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) collects data on career outcomes of TCNJ students at the time of their graduation and up to 6-months after graduation, when they are officially degree recipients. This survey is known as the First Destination Survey (FDS), formerly known as the One Year Out Survey.

Below are links to the First Destination Surveys by school and degree level that are currently open for collection. Why respond? If you’re still seeking an opportunity, we will follow up to meet with you and create a plan. If you have plans, it will help us understand where TCNJ students go on to work, study and/or serve (such as PeaceCorps or military). This is also an opportunity to share feedback about your experience and your next steps.

Ultimately, sharing your feedback will assist current and future students navigate their First Destination after TCNJ. Individuals who respond to the survey will also be entered into a drawing for $50 gift cards to Amazon!

Here are the Steps:

Find the link that corresponds with the School for your primary major.
Click the link to connect with your School specific survey. *The “Additional Access Link” is another way to complete the survey if you are logged-in to Handshake.
Complete the First Destination Survey (takes about 2-5 minutes), and be sure to click the green Finish button at the end. This will officially record your answers. Note: You may retake the Survey (even after you click the Finish button). If you are currently “Still Seeking” a position, you may update your response when your First Destination changes.
