Graduate Tests & Exams

Some graduate programs may require exams before entry, so it is best to start preparing for those in advance. Depending on what you are attending graduate school, common exams you may have to take are:

  • GRE: The Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) measures verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, critical thinking, and analytical writing. This exam is common for entrance into many graduate programs.
  • GMAT: The Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) assess certain analytical, writing, quantitative, verbal, and reading skills in written English for use in admission to a graduate management program, such as an MBA
  • LSAT: The Law School Admission Test (LSAT) is offered four times annually for admission into legal programs in the U.S. and abroad. It measures reading comprehension, logical, and verbal reasoning proficiencies.
  • MCAT: The Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) assess problem solving, critical thinking, written analysis and knowledge of scientific concepts and principles.

Each of these exams are unique in their own way, and it is highly recommended that you study in advance and prepare. Some resources to help you get ready for exams are listed below.
